Content Removal & DMCA Policy

Abby SEO respects intellectual property rights and provides a process for website owners to request removal of their scan results, as well as a DMCA takedown procedure for copyrighted content claims.

1. Scan Results Removal

Abby SEO scans publicly accessible websites and may display scan results at URLs like abbyseo.com/site/yourdomain.com. If you are the owner or authorized representative of a website whose scan results appear on our Service, you may request their removal.

How to Request Removal

Email privacy@abbyseo.com with the following information:

The URL(s) on abbyseo.com displaying your scan results (e.g., abbyseo.com/site/yourdomain.com)
The domain you own or manage
Proof of ownership or authorization (e.g., send the email from an address at the domain, or provide a DNS TXT record we can verify)
Whether you want results removed from public view only, or all stored scan data deleted entirely

Processing Time

We will process verified removal requests within 5 business days. If we cannot verify ownership, we will respond with instructions for alternative verification methods.

What Gets Removed

Public view removal: The /site/yourdomain.com page and any cached scan results will be removed from public access and our sitemap.
Full data deletion: All stored scan data, scores, and check results associated with your domain will be permanently deleted from our database.

Note: Removal does not prevent future scans if another user submits your URL. To prevent future scans, you may block our scanner's user agent in your robots.txt file.

2. DMCA Takedown Notices

If you believe that content on our Service infringes your copyright, you may submit a DMCA takedown notice. Under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512), your notice must include:

A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf
Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed
Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing and its location on our Service (provide specific URLs)
Your contact information: name, address, telephone number, and email address
A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notification is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the copyright owner's behalf

Response Timeline

Upon receipt of a valid DMCA notice, we will:

Acknowledge receipt within 2 business days
Remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material promptly
Notify the party that posted the content (if applicable) and provide them an opportunity to submit a counter-notification

3. Counter-Notification

If you believe your content was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification containing:

Your physical or electronic signature
Identification of the material that was removed and the location at which it appeared before removal
A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification
Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or Northern District of Illinois if you are outside the U.S.) and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original DMCA notification

4. Repeat Infringers

We reserve the right to terminate access for users who are found to be repeat infringers of intellectual property rights.

5. Good Faith

Please note that under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that material was removed by mistake, may be subject to liability for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees.
