Free SEO Checker
Run a complete SEO check on any website — 30+ technical signals tested in minutes, with a plain-English report sent straight to your inbox.
What the SEO checker tests
This isn't a single-score gimmick. The checker crawls your site the way a search engine does and tests every signal that commonly blocks or drags rankings:
- XML sitemap & robots.txt
- Schema / structured data markup
- Canonical tags & duplicates
- Core Web Vitals (LCP, CLS, TBT — lab)
- Title tags & meta descriptions
- Mobile-friendliness
- Broken links & redirects
- Indexability & crawl signals
…and 20+ more. Every failed check in your report explains what failed, why it matters, and what the fix looks like — see a real example fix or browse a sample report.
Is this SEO checker really free?
Yes — the full check and your emailed report are free, no account needed. If you want step-by-step remediation, the optional fix guide ($8.99) turns every failed check into a copy-pasteable, platform-specific fix. The checker itself never requires payment.
SEO checker vs. full website audit
Same engine, different framing: if you're evaluating a whole site — yours or a client's — the free website audit walks the same 30+ checks as a top-to-bottom site review. Only chasing dead links? The free link checker tests a page's internal links live, in seconds. Either way, you can read your results without an SEO dictionary: here's how to read the report in plain English. Prefer to work through the fixes yourself? The SEO Fix Guide hub collects a free how-to for every issue the checker flags.
Why site owners use Abby
Most free SEO tools stop at telling you something is wrong. Abby was built to give you the fix — the exact tag, file, or setting to change, written for your platform. Check your site above, and see what's been quietly holding it back.
Common questions about the SEO checker
Do I need to verify ownership or install anything?
No. The check runs from our cloud against your live site, so you can check any site you can reach in a browser — your own, or one you are evaluating. Nothing to install, no tag to add to your pages, and no account to create.
How long does the check take?
Minutes for most sites. The report is emailed to you when it finishes rather than making you sit on a progress spinner, so you can start it and close the tab.
Will this tell me why Google is not indexing my pages?
It will find the causes that live on your side: a stray noindex, a robots.txt rule, a canonical pointing somewhere unexpected, or pages nothing links to. What no on-site tool can see is Google's own crawl demand. If your pages come back technically clean and still are not indexed, the cause is usually authority or crawl budget rather than markup — and knowing which of the two you are facing saves a great deal of wasted effort.
How often is it worth re-running?
After anything structural: a migration, a redesign, a platform or theme change, a move to a new domain. Outside of that, quarterly is plenty. Technical SEO tends to drift slowly and then break all at once.
What is the catch with the free report?
None on the check itself. The full scan and the emailed report cost nothing and need no account. The paid part is optional and separate: a fix guide that turns each failed check into a copy-pasteable change written for your platform.
